Danielle & Jake Fairmont Banff Springs Wedding, Banff, AB
Danielle and Jake knew when visiting the Rocky Mountains that the Fairmont Banff Springs held a special place in their heart and wanted to return with all their friends and family to be married there. It was the gorgeous mountain setting and beautiful views that drew them to the venue, and they were married on a sunny July day on the Fairmont Banff Springs terrace, hosting their reception in Mount Stephens Hall.
The Bride and Groom prior to the ceremony held their first look at Tunnel Mountain with bridal party and family portraits on the shores of Lake Minnewanka, before returning to the venue for their ceremony. The couple was married by a family friend who included personal stories and beautiful memories of the couple and was truly so special to watch. The ceremony ended with a famous bang, the stomping on glass, one of the few Jewish wedding traditions the couple included in their day.
Guests gathered for a receiving line and mingling on the Banff Springs grounds while the terrace was re-designed for Cocktail Hour. Guests noshed on a Canadian poutine bar and beverages before making their way to Mount Stephens Hall for the reception.
The reception included a bridal party banquet head table down the middle of the guests to interact and create conversation with rounds surrounding. Classic white linen adored the tables with floral wreaths on with lanterns and candles. Champagne Chiavari chairs were brought in for a romantic and soft look with escort cards guiding guests to their seats.
Guests dined on an exquisite meal provided by Fairmont’s catering team and enjoyed dessert by Pretty Sweet Bakeshop. The Bride had surprised her Groom with a one-tier hand painted cake representing mountain ranges which was placed inside a floral wreath.
The couple invested in a live band, Side One who entertained guests from beautiful piano pieces during the ceremony to rocking out in the evening. One of our favourite moments was experiencing a Jewish wedding tradition, the Horah dance which was performed by Side One. Truly an incredible moment for their guests to interact with and enjoy.
With Danielle and Jake living in Maryland, US we enjoyed getting to know them by video meetings and especially meeting them face-to-face when they arrived in Calgary before making their way to Banff. Thank you, Danielle and Jake, for allowing our team to be part of your special day.
